Swiss chard has a long curly leaf with a thick celery like stalk, whereas spinach has a small flat round leaf with a thin tender stalk.
Brilliantly coloured stems (pink, yellow, orange, red and white), make this a highly ornamental Chard. Pretty enough to plant in the flower garden, yet delicious to eat.
