Strawberry Fresca

Produces traditional, full-sized berries from tiny seeds. Fresca Strawberries are luscious, juicy and sweet. Bred in the US by one of the leading seed houses, this wonderful, new, everbearing variety (will flower repeatedly if fruit are harvested regularly) is both early and long-blooming. It will produce delicious, firm, brilliant red berries all summer long. Ideal for containers,  and hanging baskets.  Perennial.

Place seeds in fridge in a plastic bag for a few weeks. Allow seeds to reach room temperature before breaking seal on bag and sowing in trays or containers, Strawberries require warm temperatures to germinate so wait until spring has really sprung or keep warm indoors. Temps 18-24C. When seedlings have third true leaf, transplant into final pots. Grow in well draining, well composted soil. Keep soil moist but not soggy. Strawberries play well with beans, borage, garlic, lettuce, onions, peas spinach and Thyme.
